The conscious energy of sacred geometry – sacred symbols
newSacred geometry came out of the New Age movement, drawing together ideas from East and West along with science.
The Flower of Life is one of the figures of sacred geometry — a very old emblem said to hold boundless energy. Its perfect proportions stand for the earliest shape and vibrational frequency of the universe, gathering up energies that have always run through all things. We take the view that the Creator worked to a geometric balance in making the world, and that the same balance appears in the mandalas of India, in the taiji and the eight trigrams of China, and in the magic circles of the West.
The well-known psychologist Carl Gustav Jung studied these emblems closely in The Secret of the Golden Flower, and connected them to the collective unconscious he had proposed. He wrote that such images "arise quite spontaneously, and from two sources: the unconscious, which produces these visions of its own accord, and life, since throwing oneself wholly into life brings an intuition of the self." He also described them as working "through intuitive practice to turn a person's attention and concern back to the sacred realm within — the origin and the destination of the soul, where wisdom and life are made one."
And in The Science of Torsion Fields, Prof. Si-Chen Lee, former President of National Taiwan University, proposes that "the remarkable properties of the eight trigrams do not belong to this material world of real numbers; they are hidden in another world, the imaginary domain of the spiritual realm."
The Flower of Life is made of evenly spaced overlapping circles, forming a flower-like figure — a perfectly resolved arrangement. Every circle in it lives with, shares with and prospers with the others. It is an all-encompassing geometric symbol standing for the cycle of life, running from the Seed of Life through the Flower of Life to the Tree of Life: an emblem of order, full of love and full of energy.
Qi Crystal is a piece made to support awareness, alongside your quiet reflection, mindfulness and sitting meditation, as a way back to your easier self. Qi Crystal – Flower of Life carries sacred geometry, while Qi Crystal – Guanyin and Qi Crystal – Buddha carry sacred words; all of them are there to help you settle, and together we call them sacred symbols.
We take the view that the feng shui of a place, the energy field of the body and every living thing are bound up with qi. In qigong practice people speak of nourishing the qi a little at a time, of settling the mind, of ordering the movement of qi within and without, so that the qi of a space flows freely and what you sense comes through eased and clear. Paired with breath work and posture work, the practice is described as bringing the network of the meridians into harmony and enlivening the vital energy of jing, qi and shen. Used alongside Qi Crystal, many people find the sensation of qi comes through more readily.
