A “torsion field” is a twisting of spacetime described in general relativity. In the crystal qi-field experiments they carried out between 2013 and 2016, Prof. Si-Chen Lee and Dr. Hsiung-Kuang Tsai found results consistent with the torsion field properties reported by Russian researchers, which led them to propose that the qi field produced by crystals is a torsion field. Aqive products use torsion coils whose left-handed and right-handed rotations cancel each other out, leaving a torsion field — giving the same clearing effect described for crystals.

Everyone takes in energy differently. Prof. Si-Chen Lee's experimental data suggests that around 15%–20% of people are meridian-sensitive and clearly notice the subtle sensation of qi; those who aren't naturally sensitive can build up their perception through practices such as mindfulness meditation, qigong, yoga and breathing exercises. We suggest easing in: switch it on for 10 minutes the first time, then adjust to what you actually feel.

Electronic products such as Qi Torsion run on a built-in battery, so they need charging. The unit itself has no set lifespan — as long as the indicator light comes on, it is working normally — but the battery is a consumable, so we suggest avoiding overcharging. Non-electronic products such as Qi Crystal and the Copper Qiramid don't need charging at all.
